TOp Shoot Guards in BDD?

Danny Honaker-Whitewood( Hell he scored 1300 pts or around that in 2 years no 3pts line, and he scored 78 in one game so i dont see anyone above him.

Terry Maxwell-Whitewood(Could and still can shoot the lights out and was smooth as silk, one of the better pure shooters around.

Ryan Rasnke-Council( may have him out of position but hell he played so many it is hard to put him at one never the less kid was good at every aspect of the game and would be on this list at every postion except center if need be. Did a lot of small things that went unnoticed i feel.

Carlos Gulley-Haysi(Great shooter and could fill it up out there, but he played on a heck of a team that allowed him to get a lot more than he would have if he was the main option, still as dangerous as anyone.

Brad Deskins-Garden(Kid had range and would lite it up from 3 all night but could score in other ways, take you off the dribble and was smooth moving either way left or right.

Heath Sutherland-Haysi-(Kid could leap, shoot and handle all pretty good, and helped Haysi be a force and start a rivalry between them and Council that was a great one for years. Could have been alot more with more effort i think.

Chris Tiller-Council-(was not much more than a spot up shooter but when that spot is beyond NBA range and you score your 1000 that way hey you got to be here.

Neil Moore-Whitewood-(Maybe the second best on this list if he had not transfer to Richlands his senior year Whitewood would hav won the District, only person i ever seen make Carey Perkins throw his hearing aids across the floor. Pure scorer plain and simple, smooth as silk and can shoot the lights out scored in the 50's a few times but was a threat from anywhere and he was a great 3pt shooter too. His dad could have been on the list but hey got to try and get some other schools on here.

On a side note i do not know where to rank this guy so here is where i will put him as Biggest Ball Hog of All Time: Kevin Shortridge, no one can ever some close.

How bout the Colley boys? Daddy Colley used to be able to play some ball too...dunno why he didn't play in High School.

Don't know where to rate some of these since they probably played out of position for their careers but with overall talent you have to rank Matt Presley- Council, Brett Compton-Haysi, David Bostic-Council, Dave Sutherland- Haysi(don't know how he was in school, but I played him enough in tourneys) and maybe even Heath Miller from Honaker even though it was his third best sport and he didn't play his senior year(looks like that worked for him too).
Another award for you Aaron, longest careers. Guys who seemed like they played forever. My top two are in the last 12 years are Anthony Kennedy from Hurley and Kelly Horne from Whitewood. Neither one was much of a player but I think Kennedy had kids when he graduated.

I'm sure you are talking about the other Heath Miller from Honaker...The one who plays for the Steelers was an average basketball player at best...lots more from Honaker more worthy of mentioning than him in b-ball. To me he was pretty much just a big body similar to John Justus from Hurley. Don't get me wrong he was fair but nothing special at all.

Really will never know how good Heath Miller could have been his senior season, i know his Junior season in the BDD tourney he made Nuckles look bad and i mean real bad when Honaker slapped them in the mouth that year. Man among boys once again.

Like i said Sutherland and Yates should have been on here somewhere but i did this on the fly, Brett COmpton was a good player but i played with him and he could have been alot more, nice guy and all the talent just more of a team player than a single standout not that this is a bad thing. Matt Presley good and fast as hell but maybe not quite there for the all time but with the limited amount of pg's hell throw him in there. There are a ton you can put in there i me Craig Presley was good Ebby Jewel was good Lonnie Cole maybe the first 1000 point scorer in the BDD and i hate that i missed Todd Fullers dad man i ment to put him in the Centers. So there are many that could have been in there the Bostic kid i have not heard of so i cant comment on him, Kelly Horne now that is funny right there he went to Garden his senior season too that is why you probably did not notice him his senior year, but yeah he was a 5'5" stocky built kid that thought he was 6'9" and was a little better than Breeding.

Shawn Hale from Garden would have had a better hs career and could have been on list if not for Kevin and health issues.

i agree about shawn, he was a good guy too. I played against him throughout little league. One of their better players til HS then it was the Kevin Shortridge league
